Otis Rhoton is an experienced insurance professional and community leader with a strong educational and local background. A graduate of Rye Cove High School, he pursued higher education at Hiwassee College and East Tennessee State University (Bachelor of Science, ’67) including graduate studies at ETSU (Master of Sciences, ’69).

These experiences and a desire to serve his home community led Otis to a career in education, as he served as a teacher, coach, and school administrator in Scott County, demonstrating a commitment to student development and community engagement. Otis also contributed to local governance as a member of the Gate City Town Council.

Since 1981, Otis Rhoton has been a licensed State Farm Agent in both Virginia and Tennessee, specializing in Auto, Fire, Life, and Renter’s insurance. Through this role, he has helped countless consumers protect their assets and plan for their families’ future. He also has 40+ years experience as a State Farm provider for Small Business, Commercial Auto, and Personal Liability Insurance.

Otis recently celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with wife Connie and is a proud parent to son Nick (who recently joined his team at his State Farm Agency) and daughter Mandy, balancing professional achievements with family life.
